Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift)

Get off the road and into the control office at a bus and coach operator in Epping. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest

• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers

• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
• Office-based work with a steady roster

• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
