Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a building-supplies merchant in Johannesburg CBD. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Johannesburg CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies merchant. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets

You'll need

Honest with cash and customer goods
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Nice if you have

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
