Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Pretoria East for a furniture retailer, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Pretoria East. Relocation is not covered for this one. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

Must-haves

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Clean driving record

Helpful, not essential

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Speaking local languages on township routes
