Job Description

Customers across Vanderbijlpark wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a furniture retailer on the Vanderbijlpark side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops

You'll need

Clean driving record
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

Extra points for

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
