Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Durban Central for a frozen food distributor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a frozen food distributor on the Durban Central side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

You'll need

Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Friendly and professional with customers

Helpful, not essential

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
