Job Description

Home every night: a frozen food distributor in Pretoria West needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a frozen food distributor on the Pretoria West side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Keep empties and returns separate for credit

You'll need

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Honest with cash and customer goods
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Clean driving record

What you get

Company-paid PrDP renewals
Home every night
Overtime on month-end and peak days
Delivery incentive per completed route

Applying, step by step

Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): Code 10 licence and PrDP card copies plus ID copy and proof of residence.
Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 8 working days.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Pretoria West; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

How to stand out

Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
