Code 10 Driver (Waste Collection Truck)

You'll run local delivery routes around Vereeniging for a frozen food distributor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Vereeniging, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route

• Clean driving record
• Honest with cash and customer goods
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)

• Code 14 licence (a step up)
• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Speaking local languages on township routes

• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Home every night
• Company-paid PrDP renewals

• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
