Job Description

Home every night: a beverage wholesaler in Pietermaritzburg needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Pietermaritzburg; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

The work, day to day

Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

You'll need

Clean driving record
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
