Job Description

Passengers in Richards Bay trust a tour and charter company to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Richards Bay-based, with most of your time spent at a tour and charter company.

The work, day to day

Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel

You'll need

Patient and friendly with passengers
At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Medically fit
Clean driving and criminal record

Helpful, not essential

Tour coach experience with charters
Fluent in more than one language
