Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cross-border transport company in Durban Central pays for. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

What you'll actually do

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts

What you need

Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean criminal record
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean driving record with no serious accidents

Extra points for

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Dangerous goods training certificate
