Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Fourways and depots across the country for a cross-border transport company. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Fourways (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops

Must-haves

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Clean criminal record
Passport for cross-border routes

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Defensive driving course
