Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a fuel distribution fleet in Bloemfontein is hiring. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a fuel distribution fleet on the Bloemfontein side of Free State.

The work, day to day

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

You'll need

Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
