Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Paarl and depots across the country for a fuel distribution fleet. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Paarl, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

You'll need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean criminal record
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
