Code 14 Side Tipper Driver (Coal Haulage) – Fixed-Term

You'll move heavy loads between Pretoria East and depots across the country for a cross-border transport company. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Pretoria East. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
• Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

• Passport for cross-border routes
• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
• Clean criminal record
• Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
• Medically fit, including eyesight
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

• Clean record on a telematics driving score
• Knowledge of SADC border routes
• Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)

• Provident fund and medical aid option
• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs
• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips

• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
