Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Sasolburg pays for. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a cold-chain logistics fleet on the Sasolburg side of Free State.

What you'll actually do

Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads

Must-haves

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean criminal record
Medically fit, including eyesight
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Clean record on a telematics driving score
