Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a coal haulage contractor in Welkom is hiring. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a coal haulage contractor on the Welkom side of Free State.

What you'll actually do

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

Must-haves

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record
