Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Mamelodi and depots across the country for a cold-chain logistics fleet. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Mamelodi-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet.

What your day looks like

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids

Must-haves

At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Passport for cross-border routes
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record

Helpful, not essential

Defensive driving course
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
