Mine Bus Driver (Shift Transport)

You'll carry passengers safely around Johannesburg CBD for a mine shift transport service, on time and by the timetable. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Johannesburg CBD; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points

• Clean driving and criminal record
• Punctual for very early starts
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Patient and friendly with passengers

• First-aid certificate
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes

• Company uniform
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
