Job Description

The road is your office with a cross-border transport company based in Sasolburg, and the load gets there because of you. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a cross-border transport company on the Sasolburg side of Free State.

What your day looks like

Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

You'll need

Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean criminal record

Helpful, not essential

Clean record on a telematics driving score
Knowledge of SADC border routes
