Bus Driver (Staff Transport, PrDP P) – Immediate Start

You'll carry passengers safely around Welkom for a staff transport contractor, on time and by the timetable. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Welkom, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points

• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Punctual for very early starts
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence

• Company uniform
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
