Job Description

You'll carry passengers safely around Sasolburg for a school transport operator, on time and by the timetable. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Sasolburg, Free State. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What you'll actually do

Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

What you need

Patient and friendly with passengers
Clean driving and criminal record
Punctual for very early starts
Medically fit
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

Extra points for

Experience on mine or staff transport routes
Fluent in more than one language
