Job Description

The road is your office with a fuel distribution fleet based in Tembisa, and the load gets there because of you. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Tembisa, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What your day looks like

Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately

What you need

At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents

Extra points for

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Dangerous goods training certificate
