Code 8 Driver (Staff Shuttle)

Every parcel scanned, every drop confirmed: that is the job at a courier depot in Richards Bay. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Load parcels in route order from the depot scanning area
• Scan parcels on delivery and take a photo or signature
• Return undelivered parcels to the depot with a reason code
• Fill up the vehicle and keep fuel slips for the logbook
• Phone customers when the address is hard to find
• Keep your vehicle or bike clean and report faults
• Collect spares and parts from suppliers and bring them to the workshop

• Polite with customers at the door
• Good sense of direction and map reading
• Smartphone and comfortable using delivery apps
• Clean driving record and no criminal record
• At least 1 year of driving experience
• Able to work Saturdays

• Knowledge of the city's industrial areas
• Your own reliable bakkie or bike for owner-driver contracts

• Fuel card for work trips
• Branded uniform and rain gear
• Per-drop incentive on busy days
• Company van, bakkie or scooter provided

• Say you have a smartphone and know delivery apps. Most courier jobs now run through an app and training time is short.
• For owner-driver jobs, list your vehicle's make, year and load size. They hire the vehicle as much as the driver.
