Cold Room Assistant (Fruit Export)

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at a berry packing facility near Brackenfell. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a berry packing facility in Brackenfell. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

• Quick and neat with your hands
• Valid ID or permit
• Follows hygiene rules at all times
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
• Basic counting and reading for labels

• Previous packhouse work
• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.

• Overtime pay during peak weeks
• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Protective clothing supplied
