Job Description

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at an export fruit packhouse near Springs. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is an export fruit packhouse on the Springs side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton

You'll need

Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Arrives on time for early shifts
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Basic counting and reading for labels
Valid ID or permit

Nice if you have

Forklift licence for palletising roles
Matric for QC posts
