Job Description

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at an export fruit packhouse near Upington. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Upington, Northern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet

You'll need

Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Valid ID or permit
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Quick and neat with your hands

Matric for QC posts
Forklift licence for palletising roles
Previous packhouse work
