Job Description

Quick hands and good eyes are all a citrus packhouse near Kimberley really needs from you. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Kimberley (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run

Must-haves

Basic counting and reading for labels
Valid ID or permit
Quick and neat with your hands
Follows hygiene rules at all times

Helpful, not essential

Previous packhouse work
Matric for QC posts
Forklift licence for palletising roles
