Label and Punnet Packer (Berries)

You'll sort, grade and pack fruit for export at an avocado packhouse near Kimberley. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at an avocado packhouse in Kimberley. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
• Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
• Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
• Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
• Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
• Move pallets into cold rooms and record temperatures

• Valid ID or permit
• Able to stand at a line for long shifts
• Arrives on time for early shifts
• Basic counting and reading for labels

• Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
• Forklift licence for palletising roles

• Protective clothing supplied
• Rehire for next season if you perform well
• Overtime pay during peak weeks
• Transport from nearby towns
