Colour Mixer (Automotive Refinish) – Immediate Start

Straight panels, perfect colour match: that is the job at this fleet repair centre in Brits. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Brits. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Fit new panels using spot welding and bonding methods
• Photograph repair stages for the insurance assessor
• Mask up vehicles properly to keep overspray off glass and trim
• Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
• Strip damaged panels, bumpers and trims and bag the fixings
• Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth
• Mix paint colours with a spectrophotometer and the mixing scheme

• Panel beating or spray painting trade test, or at least 4 years of proven work
• A portfolio or references from previous body shops
• Good colour vision and a steady hand
• Physically able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods
• Able to work to insurer repair times and quality standards
• Knowledge of spray booth safety and respirator use
