Job Description

Big machines, long days in season: a mixed crop farm near Mahikeng needs a skilled operator. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a mixed crop farm on the Mahikeng side of North West. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting
Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs
Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed
Mix and apply sprays exactly as the farm manager prescribes
Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card

What you need

Reliable and sober on duty
Can read job cards and spray instructions
Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
Available to live on or near the farm
