Construction Health and Safety Officer (SACPCMP) – Experienced

Safety files, inspections and toolbox talks: this municipal infrastructure project in Pinetown needs someone who can do all three well. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a municipal infrastructure project on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Audit subcontractor safety files before they start work
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Investigate incidents and near misses and report them on time

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• You write clear reports in English
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• First Aid Level 1 at least

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Travel and site allowances
