Construction Health and Safety Officer (SACPCMP) – Permanent

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the municipal infrastructure project in Pretoria West. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Pretoria West-based, with most of your time spent at a municipal infrastructure project. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor
• Prepare monthly safety statistics for the client's agent
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment

• You write clear reports in English
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer

• Experience on renewable energy or high-rise projects
• ISO 45001 internal auditor course

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Travel and site allowances
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
• Name the kind of projects you have covered, like roads, housing or wind farms. Clients want sector experience.
