Contracts Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Builds)

This is a numbers job with boots on: bills of quantities, site measurements and payment claims in Kariega. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Kariega (Eastern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Price tenders using supplier quotes, labour rates and plant costs
• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Use measuring software to do take-offs from PDF and CAD drawings
• Prepare the final account at the end of the project

• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor
• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• You know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work
• Code 08 licence for site visits

• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying
• SACQSP registration as a Professional or Candidate QS
• Estimating software experience on top of Excel

• Hybrid days in the office and on site
