Job Description

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a property management company in Bloemfontein. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Home base is a property management company on the Bloemfontein side of Free State.

What you'll actually do

Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling

What you need

Matric with Accounting
Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
Understanding of VAT input and output rules

Extra points for

Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys
Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper
Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
