Creditors Clerk (Manufacturing)

Every invoice, payment and bank line at this small accounting practice in Kariega goes through your hands. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a small accounting practice on the Kariega side of Eastern Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items

• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
• Matric with Accounting
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero

• Office hours with no weekend work
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
