Job Description

You'll run the crushers, mills and cells that turn ore into product at the iron ore beneficiation plant near Bellville. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is Bellville-based, with most of your time spent at an iron ore beneficiation plant.

What you'll actually do

Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks
Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
Take samples at set times and bring them to the lab
Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk

Must-haves

MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
