Customer Service Clerk (Courier Depot)

You'll help walk-in customers at an insurance branch in George, face to face, all day. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in George. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
• Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Do SIM swaps and RICA registrations with proper ID checks.
• Update customer details and file signed forms for audit.
• Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.
• Track parcels, reissue waybills and arrange redelivery at the counter.

• Retail or customer service experience of at least a year
• You can stay polite with a long queue watching
• Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
• Accurate with cash and paperwork

• RICA and cellular product knowledge
• A Customer Service NQF certificate
• Medical scheme or insurance product knowledge

• Monthly sales incentive on upgrades and add-ons
• Product training and certifications paid for
• Staff discount on products
• Fixed roster published two weeks ahead

• Mention any till, cash-up or POS work on your CV; it shows you can be trusted with money.
• Apply close to home: stores prefer people who can reach the mall reliably for opening and closing shifts.
