Job Description

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Epping, and you move the stock in between. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Epping (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What you'll actually do

Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

You'll need

Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Willing to travel on routes that return late
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
No criminal record

What's in it for you

Help to get your own licence through the company later
Route-completion incentives in busy months
Meal allowance on long-route days

How to apply

Make sure the role, the hours and working in Epping really suit you before you apply.
Have the following on hand (clear photos on your phone are fine at first): clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp, police clearance if you already have one plus CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work.
Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 5 working days, usually by phone.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Epping.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Tips to get shortlisted

Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
