Order Picker (Cold Store)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a building-supplies depot in Paarl, and nobody minds if it's your first job. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Paarl-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies depot.

• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
