Desktop Support Technician (Second Line)

A call centre campus in Prospecton needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The work is in Prospecton, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Troubleshoot Outlook, Teams and OneDrive problems for users
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves

• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft 365
• Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification

• Company laptop and cellphone
• Paid certification exams after probation
• Travel allowance for field technicians
• Clear path to second-line and systems roles

• Be ready for a practical test on a real laptop or a phone troubleshooting role-play.
• Describe the size of the environment you supported, such as "400 users across 6 branches".
