Job Description

You'll load and offload trucks at a beverage depot in Boksburg so every delivery goes out full and correct. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a beverage depot on the Boksburg side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

You'll need

Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
No criminal record
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Willing to travel on routes that return late

Nice if you have

A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
Past work as a driver's assistant
Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

On offer

Route-completion incentives in busy months
Uniform and safety shoes provided
Meal allowance on long-route days

How to apply

Make sure the role, the hours and working in Boksburg really suit you before you apply.
Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work plus police clearance if you already have one.
Use the form on this page. It takes about two minutes and you don't need to upload anything yet.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 5 working days, usually by phone.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Boksburg; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
