Job Description

Delivery days start early in Johannesburg CBD, and a beverage depot needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a beverage depot in Johannesburg CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count

You'll need

Friendly with customers at the door
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
No criminal record
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

Nice if you have

Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
Basic furniture assembly skills
