Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

Delivery days start early in Kempton Park, and a beverage depot needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Kempton Park; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
