Dispatch Assistant (Building Materials)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this beverage depot in Mossel Bay, and you move the stock in between. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a beverage depot in Mossel Bay. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• No criminal record

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Basic furniture assembly skills

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
