Job Description

You'll load and offload trucks at a beverage depot in Sandton so every delivery goes out full and correct. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a beverage depot in Sandton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first

You'll need

Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
Friendly with customers at the door
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
Willing to travel on routes that return late

Nice if you have

A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
Past work as a driver's assistant
