Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes)

You'll load and offload trucks at a cement and brick yard in Polokwane so every delivery goes out full and correct. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Location: Polokwane, Limpopo. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• No criminal record
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
