Job Description

You'll load and offload trucks at a beverage depot in Sasolburg so every delivery goes out full and correct. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The work is in Sasolburg, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What your day looks like

Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

Must-haves

No criminal record
Friendly with customers at the door
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

Nice if you have

Past work as a driver's assistant
A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

What's in it for you

Route-completion incentives in busy months
Uniform and safety shoes provided
Meal allowance on long-route days
Help to get your own licence through the company later

Applying, step by step

Make sure the role, the hours and working in Sasolburg really suit you before you apply.
Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: police clearance if you already have one, CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work plus clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp.
Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 5 working days, usually by phone.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Sasolburg; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

Applying is free. Nobody from How2Apply will ever ask you to pay for anything to get this job.

How to stand out

Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
