Job Description

You'll design, protect and maintain electrical systems for the solar and battery project developer in East London. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in East London (Eastern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Guide technicians and contractors on site during commissioning
Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
Investigate power quality problems with a power analyser
Size cables, transformers and protection using design software
Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date

What you need

Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
Able to write clear technical reports and specifications
Experience with at least one power system or lighting design package
At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
