Job Description

Keeping a manufacturing plant in Midrand fair, legal and well staffed is the heart of this job. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Midrand. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

  • Update HR policies when labour law changes.
  • Consult with shop stewards and attend union meetings.
  • Represent the company at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations.
  • Coordinate training and submit SETA grant claims on time.
  • Advise line managers on the Labour Relations Act and the BCEA.
  • Run onboarding, contracts and probation reviews for new staff.
  • Compile the Employment Equity report and the Workplace Skills Plan.

You'll need

  • CCMA experience, at least at conciliation
  • At least 3 years as an HR officer or generalist
  • A degree or diploma in HR management, labour relations or industrial psychology
  • Valid driver's licence for multi-site roles
  • Solid working knowledge of the LRA, BCEA and EEA

  • Experience on a unionised site or in a bargaining council sector
