Job Description

A group of private schools in Kimberley needs a calm tech who can help frustrated users get back to work. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Kimberley. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
Reset passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system

Must-haves

Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)

Extra points for

Experience with Intune or SCCM for device management
CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
